Stavros Yiannouka is the Vice-Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore (LKY School). He joined the School in 2005 shortly after it was founded in order to lead its international expansion. Today the LKY School is arguably the leading school of public policy in Asia and one of the world's best. Its partners include the Harvard Kennedy School, Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs, London School of Economics and Sciences Po, Paris. As part of his responsibilities, Stavros frequently interacts with leaders in government, business and civil society from around the world.
Prior to joining the School, Stavros was a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company. Based in Singapore, he served major public and private sector clients across a range of industries from financial services to healthcare and higher education. Before joining McKinsey & Company, Stavros practiced corporate and commercial law in the City of London and he is still a member of the Law Society of England and Wales. |

- Canada based global financial holding company - developed a strategy and organizational blueprint to allow them to enter the private equity market. Working alongside the co-CEOs and their senior managers, the team explored the strategic landscape for private equity in Europe and North America, identified the key success factors, evaluated proposals from potential partners as well as likely alternatives and developed a strategic and organizational roadmap.
- Central Bank of a major South East Asian economy - developed a debt capital markets strategy through the expansion of mortgage-backed securities. Working alongside senior management, the team identified the likely demand for mortgage-backed securities, the potential sources of supply and evaluated the likely implications on government housing policy.
- Supported the CEO and Deputy CEO of major Singaporean healthcare provider organization on a multi-year performance transformation program.
- Leading the engagement team that supported the Dean of a new established Graduate School in developing an aggressive growth strategy and setting up a program office to coordinate implementation of priority initiatives identified.
